It is a popular entertainment center featuring a family atmosphere with clean modern facilities operated by professional management with high standards. NASCAR demands the finest in racing facilities. Holland Speedway has earned the reputation of being one of the finest NASCAR short tracks due to its facilities. These facilities provide an excellent atmosphere for the enjoyment of auto racing.

The Speedway was constructed in 1960. Originally a 1/3 mile oval with a seating capacity of 1,200 it was expanded to 3/8 mile in 1964. In 1968, the Speedway was converted to asphalt. Over a period of time, the seating capacity was expanded to the current capacity for over 7,000 race fans and competitors. The principals in the operation of the Speedway include Attorney Ronald Bennett who serves as President, and his son Timothy, who serves as General Manager.

Racing activities are sanctioned by NASCAR, the nation's premier racing body. With over 2,000 short tracks throughout the United States, less than 100 have qualified to carry the NASCAR banner. Formed in 1948, NASCAR has been the leader of race development, competition and safety. NASCAR establishes stringent requirements of safety and insurance. The Speedway is a member of the Northeast Region Division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The drivers at Holland compete in point standings against other short track drivers throughout the Northeast. The National Champion is determined from 10 regional champions based upon the best performance record in the region. Over $ 1,000,000 in regional point monies are paid to the top 10 competitors in each region at the annual national banquet each November.
